Young children and their parents from nine poor communities just finished three months of “Sotron Zero”: 2-hour weekly sessions designed to prepare them for preschool in the fall. The children made their first drawings and played games and listened to stories. For many, it was their first experience with books.
In September the children will join “the big kids” i.e., 4 and 5 year olds for daily “gradinita” classes. Thanks to OvidiuRo donors, their parents will be eligible for food coupons if the children attend every day.
